Girlies!! The troubles you get in to, but you do make us laugh! Glad you had a fun time in Oz and really glad you got to see Tom and Neil etc. It's a shame you didn't get to see all of the places you had planned to visit, but it really isn't very cheap over there. The Uggs are cheaper but that's about all really! Still you had the Oz experience and saw all the cuddly Koalas and Kangas. Maybe one day in the future you will get to visit Darwin. Meanwhile hope you are having fun in Asia and keeping safe (although some of the escapades you get up to, it's amazing you are still here to tell the tale!!). Looking forward to hearing all about Asia. Love to the Trippers from us. xxxx

OMG! That is the funniest write-up so far! we were crying with laughter reading it, you just seem to lurch from one mini crisis to another. It's just great that you'll have these memories to look back on and laugh at together although at the time we're sure it isn't that funny! Cannot wait to hear all about Oz although of course we know about some of it and the surprise you got at the airport Steph. Take care Trippers, keep safe. Love you. xxxx

Love your journals girls! They make us laugh so much at the antics you get up to. We almost feel as though we are there with you. Sounds as though you made plenty of friends along the way including the chickens, cockerels, sheep etc. oh and not forgetting the sand flies! Glad to be of help with the sale of Bruce and even more glad it all worked out ok! Looking forward to the next epistle from Fiji and Australia. Don't forget to give our love to Tom, Karoline, Neil and family when you see them. Keep safe both of you. Love and kisses Delphine & Adrian xxxx

Hey you two, once again loved the update. I know we only spoke this morning Steph so not much news since then. Please please please DO NOT tell me when you plan to particpate in your next activities, I will not be able to rest!! Just tell me when you have done them yeah? I'm off to bed now to rest my poorly back. God knows how I've managed to get into this state, but chiro reakons i'm in a right mess! Another £100 + to put it right :( . Great update girlies! Loved the bit about the glo-worms. So much we didn't know about the worm world! We think you are very brave doing your sky-dives, it must have been amazing. Now looking forward to seeing your photos. New Zealand is a lovely Country and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there, just wish we had had longer like you. Bruce the Beast sounds fun (not so great when he has a flat tyre though!) Keep safe and update your photos asap so we can see what you've been up to!! Love and hugs Delphine & Adrian xxx

Hi Trippers, once again fantastic update, very interesting and extremely funny. I hope you are keeping these updates for the future; so many wonderful and exciting things to recall. I'm a little concerned though at the amount of rubbish food you are eating but there is one consolation, when you get back here my cooking will be simply gormet to you!!! All ok back here, nothing much to report. Everyone is well and now that the days are drawing out it seems that Spring is not so far away after all and then I can have my fix of daffodils :) remember last year Steph, I must have had 200+ of them, lovely, yes, but the house looked like a bloody florist it smelt lovely though!! I'm pretty much keeping my NY resolution of going out more and visitng friends etc and spending less time on my laptop. I know you mentioned this to me the other day that I never seem to be on line much nowadays. It's been good for me to get out and about although I don't always feel like going out straight from work, I am making the effort which I am always pleased about once I'm there. I have a list of people to catch up with so it's keeping me busy. I'm looking forward to spending some time in Spain sometime in March, I need to get over there so instead of rushing there and back have decided to make it a proper holiday this time. Not confirmed any dates yet but will let you know. Went to Auntie Delphine's and Adrian's today for a lovely Sunday roast and of course the obligitory couple in the pub to start off with which as you know I always welcome!! Anyway that's my update, keep safe both of you, love you squillions. M M xxx

Fantastic update girls.....made me laugh so much. Your wine tour in Mendoza sounded so much more fun than the one we did! Hope u enjoy Bariloche - reminded me of Austria or Switzerland - so pretty and picture postcard scenery. Make sure you wrap up warm when u venture southwards - it will be freezing...!
Stay safe and keep on having fun....xxxxx

Sounds as though you have been having a ball! Started off sensibly, the zoo and the cemetry etc...and then it was pretty much all downhill from there! We're surprised you can remember anything at all after all the mega alcohol consumption, but hey it was Christmas! Hope your toe has mended Steph. The vineyard expedition reminds us of the same thing we did in Austria, bikes, wine huts, sunshine...the only thing was that we got pretty much hammered after the first two stops and had to turn back! Pathetic! Well done for staying the course even if you did drink from the spitoon! That is the most disgusting thing we've read in a long time, cheers!
We wish you both a very happy and safe 2010 and look forward to the next update.
Take care

Hi Trippers
Sounds like you two are having a great time. I have now had another two postcards from you Steph they were two days apart, so now 3 in total. I'm really busy at the moment socially, been to a few christmas doo's and trying to get round to visiting everyone so it's kept me occupied on these freezing cold eves. When I say it's freezing, I'm not kidding, my heating bill will be enormous next quarter. We have had lots of snow and this week for the first time Ihave felt quite christmassy. I have put the tree up and hung my cards and have wrapped all of Georgie's presents up and filled her stocking so now the table in the corner looks pretty good. Trevor is coming to visit tomorrow for the day so looing forward to spending the day with him. Georgie is coming over on Christmas eve and we're visiting Grandad and aunty Jean then in the eve we're spending it with Sophie & Euros, I expect that to be a heavy night of drink!!! and of course spening Xmas day with auntie Den and Boxing day with auntie Delphine so really lookinjg forward to that. NY eve I'm heading off to Lt Totthan to Ruth and Pauls for a party, that will be fun. There's going to be loads of us there and we're all staying over so don't think that we'll get an awful lot of sleep that night, not if Ruth and Paul have anything to do with it!!! I hope you girls have a wicked time and look forward to chatting with you on Christmas Day. I will take my laptop to aunties so we can all have a little chat :)
Well, my lovelies, I've a lot to do before Mr D comes over tomorrow so best get moving. Take care both of you and stay safe. Love and miss you sooo very very much. xxxxxx

Lovely to catch up with all your news again. I'm so jealous that you're in BA.....I just love Argentina and your stories bring back such happy memories! The falls are truly amazing but then the whole of the country is pretty amazing! As you know its snow and ice here but we're ploughing on with all the festive preparations for next week. We're gonna miss you on Christmas Day Steph but guess your cousins will eat your share of the goodies!! Speak to you soon and take care both of you. xxxxxx

Hi darlings! We are just sooo jealous of your trip to Peru! We were there in 2001 and visited all the places you've just seen. Ok, so our accommodation was ever so slightly more upmarket but just reading about your trips to Titikaka, Cusco, Macchu Picchu, Arequipa and the Nazca Lines brought back many happy memories. We didn't climb the mountain at Macchu Picchu, but then of course we are more than twice your age and if you are feeling the after effects then you can imagine how if we had attempted it we probably would have had to have been hospitalised!! What a fantastic experience though to see the wonderful Inca city up there. Unlike you, we loved Titikaka although Delphine had altitude sickness there. We also ate guinea pig and alpaca, it has to be done! The Nazca lines are indeed the most amazing sight although we never want to be in such a small plane again! We did have a trip for two days in the Amazon. Are you going there? It is well worth the time if you can make it. You are very lucky to be seeing all of these wonderful places and we think of you such a lot and miss you and especially now that it is getting close to Christmas. What are your plans for Christmas Day? If indeed you have any. Please don't forget to post some photo's on your World Journal site we would love to see you both in the places you are visiting. We love you both. Keep safe. xxxxxx

Hi both - sooo enjoyed reading about your latest escapades and it really made me laugh. I just love the descriptions it makes it all so real especially having visited South America. So onto Argentina next - I'm really jealous. You'll have an amazing time there. The steaks are to die for and the wine amazing - oh and the scenery is pretty amazing too!! Have fun in the sun and dont worry about us all stressing out over christmas in the cold wet winter!!
Loads of love and stuff

So I had to check if you wrote nice things about me, but it's not too bad.
It surprised me that you two tried not to wear make up in Cusco, I told you, you still look astonishing!

So, you two have got to Macchu Picchu before me - an all-time ambition of mine to visit. Oh well, beauty before age is fair enough, I suppose. I'm glad that you are both being appreciated by the locals so much (no one ever wolf- whistles me in Saffron Walden) and I'd watch out for those guinea pigs if I were you. I'm told the steaks are great in Argentina, and the red wine, and as for those gauchos...
Take care and enjoy

Hiya girlies,
Just wondering how you both are. We don't seem to have caught up for a litle while and I'm kinda missing you :( . Steph, I got your postcard from Brazil at long last, it only took 5 weeks to get here!!! Looking forward to the next one :) Nothing much to report from back here. The weather has turned really cold this last week, so I bet you're glad you're not back here! I can't believe its only 4 weeks until Christmas, I don't seem to have got organised at all this year, it's kinda crept up on me. So much has happened to me this year and I don't really feel in the Christmas spirit at all. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll feel differently. As you know Georgie was rushed to hospital last Sunday eve with a serious Asthma Attack, it was vry frightening at the time but once she was in the care of the hospital, she responded fairly quickly to the treatment, thank goodness. You both seem to have settled into your travels now and are enjoying your tiime away at long last. The first few weeks are always the hardest. It takes a while to get used to different cultures and being away from home is always a wrench to start with. You seem to have made lots of friends on route which always makes life a little easier and more fun. I hope to hear from yoou soon, maybe on Skype or Msn. Hope you are both well and getting over your tummy upsets. Thinking of you all the time. Miss you loads. Take care of eachother and keep safe. Love you. Mum xxx

Hi Trippers!
So enjoyed reading about your latest escapades! The bus journeys sound horrendous - I bet you're black and blue after all that hurtling around in various modes of transport. Reckon u need the alcohol to deaden the pain!! LOL
All good here except the weather - storms Friday and Saturday but nicer today. Christmas is shifting up a gear - all too soon for me but what do I know...?? Looking forward to the next instalment - take care

Hope today has been a good one for you and you have had a little treat of some kind to mark your special day. Anyway, sweetheart, I love you very very much. Take care both of you xxx

Well well well, you two seems to be having a right fun time! I am glad to hear you got back into civilisation and are not living, bathing sleeping in the land of creepy crawlies -- your post reminded me of 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here! -- just make sure you don't get into doing unknown bush tucker trials!! I can't believe it Kiran, the things you are putting up with out there -- all character building i guess ;-)
I enjoyed reading your attempts at getting to Sucre and glad that when you finally got there -- they had a party going for your arrival, and why not indeed! I am intersted by the new names you have adopted here and look forward to hearing how these get adapted along the way. It was crap to hear about your 'mugging' and heartening to hear that you both remained calm and able to convey the story in such a laid back humourous way. I hope that's the last of those sorts of experiences!
I look forward to further updates Kiran and am glad to hear you are enjoying yourselves. I am thinking of you and have been a bit behind on the e-mailing front as we are up to our necks in boxes from packing up the house. We will be in SWalden in a couple of weeks (!) where once settled, I will get tapping these fingers. In the meantime, take care sweets (and you Steph) and look ffwd to the next posting. Much love KNN, TnKnV xxx

Hi you two! We love your journal, it's just so funny! You two sound just like Thelma & Louise! Well, not that we've seen the film but it sounds good to us!! Bit of a clue when all the ticket sellers were saying that there was no travel until the following day though. Perhaps you should have had a think about that one...but hey, our intrepid explorers aren't going to let a simple thing like a broken road get in the way! The menus sound fascinating...we once had Yuccas Balls in Peru! Bet you can't beat that? Glad the Ozzies pointed you in the right direction of a good hostel. The other one sounded like a right nightmare and we bet she charges the same as all the good ones. Sorry to hear about the mobile phone incident, just take care when using your wallets or ipods or stuff like that. Thank God you weren't hurt. We love you and miss you and can't wait to see your photo's.
Love from Auntie Delphine & Adrian xxxxx

Hello girls, Na here, have just read your journal, sounds like you're having great fun, I too have done the "squatting" thing behind bushes(a very long time ago though) so know how that feels!! Sorry to hear about your phone, that must have been a bit scary for you both. Make sure you stay together where ever you go!! I know I'm nagging but only because I care. Have just been to Tesco to do some shopping and have popped into see you mum who as you know hasn't been well. We have just had a nice cup of coffee and a fresh cream apple turnover, yummy! Will write again, when I next visit, lots of hugs and kisses. Take care both of you. Na xxxx

Just read your update and it was sooo entertaining. Just reminded me of when I used to read James and Lou's and Ollie's updates. You make it all sound so interesting. Hello Steph & Kiran, just read your update journal my goodness you certainly are experiencing different cultures. Didn't like you being mugged, do be very careful both of you. You seem to be getting onthe wrong buses or having the wrong times (doesn't sound like
Wiffen's eh). Everyone here ok, I'm still
going on the weekly walks of a Fri, at the moment enjoying it, Jill has had to give it up.
I hope this trip is all turning out as you both wanted it to. Take care, look forward to your next update. Lots and Lots of love Nan.xxxxx. Happy Birthday for you soon Steph.

Hiya girlies! Haha, how I love to read your journals, they are so interesting and very funny! You certainly seem to be experiencing some weird and wonderful ways of the Bolivian culture!.Really sorry to hear about the mugging though, not a very nice welcome to the country. I didn't freak out about it as much as I would have done if I had just read it via fb! Fortunatley you called me 10 minutes or so after it took place so I was able to block the phone and sim card immediately. I guess you are being a little more careful now with what you take out and about with you; Steph, watch your iPod!!! I know you're having problems uploading the pics but really looking forward to seeing them, so hurry up and find a decent internet cafe (if there is such a thing there) and preferably one with a decent mic, I have yet to have a conversation with you without you losing your temper becasue I can't hear you lol!! Nothing much happening here, the shops are full of christmas gifts etc, which I can never quite get into until after your birthday. It's going to be strange this year not being able to give you a card, it will be the first time ever :'( . Today, you have been away for a whole month .... seems longer in some ways, but another month nearer to you coming home :) I'm finally starting to get rid of this cold and Bronchitis, so hopefuly that will be my lot for the winter!! I'm about to head of to bed now, so, until we speak again or at least try anyway, keep safe both of you, love you squillions. Mum xxxx0000xxxx

Hello my darlings! Aren't you having a fun time?! Hope you have been taking your anti-malarial pills! Steph, I once had a locust fly into my cleavage so I know exactly how you felt. Totally freaked me out! I love that you were so panicked that you threw your travel pillow out of the train! How funny was that! Brazil sounds great but a little too commercial, hence the expense. Bolivia sounds much more like an adventure even though you were ripped off at the border. Glad you found the sun eventually after all the rain you had. We miss you loads but it is great that you are experiencing life to the max. Take care both of you. Love you. xx

Darling Kiran
I have just read your journal entry and it made me laugh and cry at the same time!! It is wonderful that you are able to convey what is happening to you both in such a humours and adventurous way - I have enjoyed it immensely.
My little girl ….. how dare the mosquitoes, insect and other creature have a feast on her beautiful body and upset the harmony in her mind…. is what initially spun to my thoughts, but then what was I expecting it to be like out there - glorious sandy beaches, warm aqua blue oceans every where and dead drop gorgeous men??? Well I can dream on, but hey, you certain paint the picture well.
You both seem to be having a whale of a time and enjoying your adventures. Reading your entries take me back to the times when I use to receive letters from your dad in the summer holidays when he went away for eight weeks, long before we were married. His travels were action packed and like you he never struggled to express himself.
Anyway great seeing and chatting to you last night – just wanted to hold you in my arms. You are so precious that it make my heart ache for you and all I want do is to ensure thing are perfect in every possible way. Remember be safe and eat healthy.
Love and miss you lots XXXXX

Was just great chatting to you this eve Steph and seeing you too was an added bonus :). I just wanted to hug you! I hadn't read your update at the time of us talking but have since received it on my emails. Was really funny the way you described the whole "bug" thing and losing your pillow (imagine if that had have been teddy ..OMG!!!), but reading about it really made me laugh. The toilets, well, you can imagine, I just wouldn't have used them, if they were anything like the ones I saw when we visited one of the rooms at Uni, remember? I nearly died then, and I can only imagine that they were 10 times worse!!!!! I'm pleased that you both seem a little happier now that you have moved on from Brazil, and look forward to more updates from you. Keep safe in Bolivia and remember to eat ....properly!! Love and miss you sooo much xxxx

Anyway girlies, I hope you have had a brilliant first day and they continue to be even more exciting and brilliant for you both. Love you and miss you. One day nearer to your return :) haha!! xxxx
