Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How will my friends know where I am?
Each update has a space for your location so visitors will know where you are writing from. But even better, every journal has a 'Where Am I?' locator. As the journal owner, you just mark your location on a map of the world, and every visitor to the site will see a flashing dot on the map, indicating your current location. Very handy for your friends who didn't pay attention in Geography class!
How can my friends keep in touch with me?
Every journal has an email form so that your friends can send you an email directly from the site. If for any reason your email address changes while you are away, you can update it on the site and emails will automatically go to the new address. The Premium version includes a guestbook, so visitors can leave comments for everyone to read. The journal owner receives an email whenever anyone signs the guestbook, and has the power to delete any entry which they think is inappropriate.
Can I change the colour scheme?
Yes! The Premium version allows you to pick from a selection of three colour schemes and six photo banners. You can change these as often as you like so that you can, for example, have the 'Philippino' photos while you are visiting there, but switch to the 'Australian' selection when you move on.
Can I upload my own photos?
Yes! The Premium Photo version allows you to upload up to 10MB of your own photos into a special folder which can be seen by everyone. If you wish, it will also resample your pictures automatically to help you fit as many in your gallery as possible. It also gives you all the benefits of the Premium version.
What if I'm not going travelling?
World Journals don't have to be about trips across the globe; they can be about whatever you want. If you just want an easy-to-maintain website (sometimes called a weblog, or blog) then a World Journal is right up your street.

How much does it cost?
The Standard version costs just £9.99 per year (£0.83 per month), the Premium version costs £19.99 per year (£1.67 per month), and the Premium Photo version costs £29.99 per year (£2.50 per month).
